Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Senior Consultant in Perth to support the Delay Services group. You will assist the Commission Lead on major tasks, deliver expert reports for construction and insurance clients, and contribute to claims and advisory work across projects.

The role emphasizes delay analysis, data interpretation, and effective communication with non-technical audiences. A strong background in disputes, arbitration, and report drafting is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, quantity surveying, project management, law or related field.
• 7+ years post graduate experience in construction or engineering contractor or claims consultancy.
• Project planning/delivery experience is essential.
• Experience with disputes/arbitration is valued.
• Excellent writing to draft large professional reports.
• Clear, concise communication to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to model and present large data sets.
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Draft expert reports and responses with minimal supervision.
• Review and analyse records using scheduling or database software.
• Perform delay analysis using industry methodologies such as Time Impact / Window Analysis.
• Lead assistant duties, guiding technical and client strategies.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and manage team utilisation.
• Support delivery across delay consulting, programming, and planning services.
• Explain delay narratives for formal dispute processes.
• Proactively generate new client appointments and business development ideas.
• Support a positive, inclusive company culture and reputation.
