Job summary

Eptec is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for our Defence Solutions team in Osborne, South Australia. You will lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling and QA/QC support across defence projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will develop detailed plans, manage budgets and variations, coordinate procurement and site activities, and drive safety and compliance to deliver on time and within cost. Candidates will hold civil/construction engineering qualifications with 2–5 years’

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Construction Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in asset remediation, civil construction, infrastructure or defence.
• Experience in blasting & painting, concrete rehabilitation, surface preparation, hazardous substances desirable.
• NACE 1 or 2 certification desirable.
• MS Office proficiency: Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
• Australian citizens or permanent residents only due to security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, Gantt charts, and schedules using MS Project.
• Handle weekly budget reporting, job costings, revenue projections, and costs-to-complete forecasts.
• Coordinate logistics, equipment control, supplies, subcontractor management, and project docs.
• Organise work fronts, plan daily activities, and provide technical assistance to Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Ensure QA/QC and contract compliance, uphold Eptec’s management systems, and promote Zero Harm safety culture.
