Job summary

ASC is seeking a Senior Commercial Advisor to support the commercial management of Australia's sovereign submarine build program. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will guide negotiations, manage contractual obligations and influence strategic outcomes while navigating a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, project teams and external stakeholders, ensuring governance and value from key agreements.

Qualifications

• Strong contract management expertise and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
• Experience in defence, government, infrastructure or complex projects is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and implement major commercial agreements.
• Provide commercial advice on contractual obligations, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare commercial briefings, reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Ensure contractual commitments are delivered per terms and governance.
• Maintain contract registers, reporting frameworks and commercial records.
• Lead contract administration activities to support program delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support commercial risk management, governance and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
