Job summary

Shield AI in Melbourne is seeking a senior deep learning engineer to advance perception capabilities on autonomous and edge platforms. You will design, implement and deploy cutting-edge computer vision and DL solutions for real-time edge use.

The role involves collaborating with researchers, deploying the AI stack to edge devices, and scaling DL operations across teams with a strong emphasis on practical field-ready results.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of deep learning experience in perception/vision fields.
• Experience with CNNs/Transformers for object recognition or segmen- tation.
• Proven publication record in CV/AI venues is a plus.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python; deploy DL models to edge devices.

Responsibilities

• Research, design and implement state-of-the-art perception capabilities, taking ideas from conception into world-class field solutions
• Work with and deploy our AI stack to edge devices
• Collaborate with deep learning engineers to architect and develop tools to scale DL ops
• Stay current with literature and contribute to R&D projects
