XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced DBT Data Engineer with 8+ years of data engineering experience to join our team. You will design scalable data transformation pipelines, build robust data models, and ensure data quality across cloud data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in dbt, SQL, Python, data warehousing, and modern cloud technologies, collaborating with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on with dbt Core / Cloud.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with dbt models, macros, tests.
• Knowledge of incremental models and materializations.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery).
• ETL/ELT pipelines experience.
• Understanding data integration and transformation concepts.
• Python for data engineering/automation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Develop complex SQL-based data models using dbt.
• Build and maintain staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Implement dbt models, macros, snapshots, seeds, tests, and incremental models.
• Develop optimized SQL transformations for large datasets.
• Implement data quality checks and automated testing using dbt.
• Document data lineage using dbt documentation.
• Integrate dbt with cloud data platforms and pipelines.
• Optimize data models and SQL for performance and cost.
• Implement CDC strategies where required.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, BI Developers, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines in dev/prod.
• Participate in CI/CD for dbt deployments.
