Job summary

XPT Software is seeking a seasoned DB2 Systems Programmer to join a global team responsible for building, configuring and maintaining mainframe DB2 environments. The role emphasizes service availability, efficiency, and resilient cloned infrastructure across large SysPlex deployments.

Responsibilities include disaster recovery, security, and performance tuning, with hands-on work on DSNZPARMs, WLM, RACF, and DBA tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years as a mainframe DB2 System Programmer.
Strong experience with DSNZPARMs and RAID/maintenance planning for DB2 subsystems.
Experience in CICS, MQ and related mainframe tooling (ISV products) for DB2 environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain DSNZPARMs and implement automated disaster recovery for DB2 subsystems.
Create and modify WLM address spaces for stored procedures as needed.
Provide Level 3 support for DB2 issues and coordinate vendor escalations.
Install, upgrade and administer DB2 tools and ISV products on mainframe systems.
Plan maintenance windows, capacity planning and performance tuning in both system and application layers.
