Job summary

Bank is seeking a DB2 Systems Programmer to join a global team responsible for building, configuring and maintaining the Bank’s mainframe systems. The team supports a large parallel SysPlex, focusing on high availability, efficiency and resilience across global operations.

The role requires extensive DB2 experience on z/OS, expertise with SMP/E, DSNZPARMs, CICS and MQ environments, and the ability to upgrade DB2 subsystems and related tooling. 24x7 support may be required.

Qualifications

• DB2 systems programming experience on z/OS.
• Experience with SMP/E maintenance.
• Ability to implement DB2 and third-party products.
• CICS/MQ infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DSNZPARMs.
• Strategize disaster recovery for DB2 subsystems.
• Configure WLM addresses for stored procedures.
• Manage DB2 security via RACF.
• Plan DB2 migrations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DB2 issues.
