Job summary

Profusion Group is seeking a Senior Databricks Engineer to join a major Investment Data Platform migration on a 9-month contract. You will design, build and migrate backend data solutions using Databricks, Python and SQL, supporting investment, reference and security data.

You will work with Australia's Investment Data Technology experts in a hybrid WFH/CBD setup, contributing to a high-performing team and a critical enterprise data transformation with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Databricks engineering experience
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills
• Strong backend and data engineering experience
• Experience building and maintaining complex ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Investment Management/Asset Management/Financial Markets experience preferred
• Experience with Investment Data Platforms advantageous
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and data integration
• Cloud data engineering experience
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build and migrate scalable backend data solutions using Databricks, Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with Investment Data Technology team and stakeholders.
• Support migration and modernization of enterprise Investment Data Platform.
