Job summary

Profusion Group is seeking a Senior Databricks Engineer to join a major Investment Data Platform migration on a 9-month contract. You will design, build and migrate backend data solutions using Databricks, Python and SQL, supporting investment, reference and security data.

You will work with Australia's Investment Data Technology experts in a hybrid WFH/CBD setup, contributing to a high-performing team and a critical enterprise data transformation with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Databricks engineering experience
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills
• Strong backend and data engineering experience
• Experience building and maintaining complex ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Investment Management/Asset Management/Financial Markets experience preferred
• Experience with Investment Data Platforms advantageous

• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills

They are looking for an experienced Senior Databricks Engineerto join a high-performing technology team and play a key role in the backend migration and modernisation of a critical enterprise Investment Data Platform.

Role Overview

This role will see an experienced backend/data engineer work collaboratively with a team of highly skilled Investment Data Technology specialists and investment stakeholders.

You will help design, build and migrate scalable backend data solutions using Databricks, Python and SQL, supporting critical investment, reference and security data across the organisation.

Experience and Skills

• Strong commercial Databricksengineering experience
• Excellent Python and SQLdevelopment skills
• Strong backend and data engineering experience
• Experience building and maintaining complex ETL / ELT and data pipelines
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Investment Management, Asset Management, Superannuation or Financial Markets experience highly regarded
• Experience with Investment Data Platformshighly regarded
• Security Master, Reference Data, Market Data and/or Investment Data experience advantageous
