Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Parramatta is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead data science initiatives and mentor junior teammates. The role involves designing scalable data pipelines, applying machine learning techniques, and advocating for MLOps practices. Ideal candidates will have proficiency in Python and SQL, with a salary range of A$140k - A$170k plus superannuation in an attractive hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across the full data science lifecycle from ideation to monitoring in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Azure tools.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks and modern ML toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science and machine learning initiatives.
• Mentor junior and mid-level data scientists.
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures.
• Champion MLOps practices, including model versioning and performance monitoring.
• Communicate insights effectively through clear visualisations.
