Canva in Sydney is hiring a Data Scientist to partner with product, business, and operations teams to turn data into actionable insights. You’ll design experiments, build scalable data models and dashboards, and help teams forecast key metrics for growth and product improvement.

The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid/remote working arrangement, offering opportunities to collaborate on campus while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of using data to drive impact across products or business units.
• Advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with experimentation and data warehousing.
• Strong storytelling and communication to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Canva teams to influence strategic decisions through data.
• Design and analyse A/B tests and experiments to drive outcomes.
• Build data models, dashboards, and tooling for scalable insights.
• Define and forecast key metrics to surface opportunities.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor and uplift the data community with best practices.
