Job summary

A2B Australia is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to unlock value from data and deliver impactful mobility and payments solutions. You'll own end-to-end data science initiatives, from problem understanding and data prep to modeling and communicating insights.

Working with stakeholders across the business, you will build scalable models, stay current with AI developments, and contribute to reusable analytics assets within the Data & Analytics team at CDC and A2B.

Qualifications

• A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Approximately 3-5 years' experience in data science or advanced analytics.
• Strong experience using Python and/or R for data analysis and modelling.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with structured and large datasets.
• Experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world business challenges.
• Strong capability in data preparation, feature engineering, model development and model evaluation.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong Power BI expertise, including Star Schema data modelling and the development of scalable, high-performance data models.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Exposure to enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse or modern data platform environments.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Generative AI, NLP or other emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help unlock value from data and deliver meaningful business outcomes through advanced analytics, machine learning and AI. Join our Data & Analytics team and play a key role in solving complex business challenges using data-driven insights. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll take ownership of end-to-end data science initiatives, from understanding business problems and preparing data through to developing models, communicating insights and supporting better decision-making across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

About You

You're a technically strong and commercially minded data professional who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating with stakeholders and translating analytical insights into practical business outcomes.

You’ll bring:
