Job summary

Senior Data Integration Engineer (NV1 Clearance) in Canberra, ACT, full-time role for a defence-focused technology organisation. You will bridge operational systems, data platforms and end users to deliver data-driven outcomes across diverse projects.

Work with Defence stakeholders, software engineers and project teams to integrate data, automate workflows, and deliver analytics capabilities using AWS, Azure, NiFi, and Node-RED.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Experience working in Defence or with government data is a plus.
• Current NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain NV1 clearance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage data integration solutions across multiple systems.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, workflows and automated processes.
• Integrate data from operational, analytical and business systems.
• Transform and structure data for reporting, dashboards and analytics.
• Develop integrations using APIs and industry-standard data formats.
• Configure and connect software platforms to exchange information effectively.
• Integrate AI and machine learning services into data workflows.
• Support Defence customers by translating operational needs into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver new capabilities and product improvements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
