Job summary

Experis Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a large-scale federal government program.

You will design, build and maintain enterprise data platforms, warehouses, lakes and streaming solutions, enabling data-driven decision making. The role requires NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship, with initial onsite work followed by hybrid arrangements across Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience delivering enterprise data solutions.
• Experience working within large and complex ICT environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and shape data and analytics solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, streaming platforms and software solutions.
• Build, maintain and support high quality code, technical designs and development solutions.
• Perform complex data extraction, transformation, analysis, querying and troubleshooting.
• Develop and support ETL/ELT pipelines across batch and near real-time environments.
• Apply engineering standards, security controls and best practices to ensure solution reliability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation and production support across the solution lifecycle.
