Job summary

Versent is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build modern cloud-native data platforms for major Australian clients. You will develop batch and real-time pipelines, create AI-powered data products, and work directly with stakeholders to shape requirements.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and scalable architectures across AWS and Azure in a hybrid Australia-based environment. You will leverage Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt and Terraform to deliver impact, while also

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Engineering or equivalent roles.
• Hands-on Snowflake production experience.
• Experience with Databricks and lakehouse architectures.
• Advanced SQL and Python/PySpark skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration (Airflow preferred).
• Cloud platform experience on AWS and/or Azure; IaC with Terraform.
• Familiarity with data modelling, governance and security practices.

Responsibilities
