Job summary

The Recruitment Company Australia is partnering with a global financial organisation undergoing a major Data & AI transformation, including a Microsoft Fabric migration. The Senior Data Engineer / 2IC will work closely with the Head of Data & AI to influence platform design, engineering standards and data practices while delivering scalable data solutions and governance across the data platform.

You will mentor peers, contribute to architecture decisions and help shape how data is structured,

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT and transformation.
• Experience with modern data platforms and data governance practices.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data solutions across the modern data platform.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns and quality practices.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
