Job summary

Altis Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to blend strong technical foundations with client-facing delivery. You will own data and analytics work across the delivery lifecycle, collaborating with Altis teams and clients to shape pragmatic, scalable data solutions.

You’ll focus on near-end-to-end delivery across data pipelines, modeling, ETL/ELT and dashboards, while engaging stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical designs and insights.

Qualifications

• Strong data & analytics foundations with hands-on delivery experience.
• Ability to engage with clients and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Willingness to learn across platforms and adapt to client environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Data & Analytics solutions from discovery through implementation and support.
• Work directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Contribute to workshops, solution design sessions and technical reviews.
• Design and build data pipelines, data models, database structures and data stores.
• Integrate and analyse data from multiple sources to support reporting and decision-making.
• Develop reports, dashboards, visualisations and actionable insights.
• Apply SQL, data modelling and engineering practices across client projects.
• Support testing, deployment, UAT and post-production activities.
• Contribute to project planning, estimation and delivery scheduling.
• Take ownership of your work while sharing knowledge with others.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Help clients adopt solutions through training and knowledge transfer.
