Job summary

People First Bank is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data and Insights team in Melbourne. You will help administer and improve the Data and Insight platform, ensuring its stability, scalability, and security, while building data pipelines for Analytics and Reporting use cases.

You will develop PySpark frameworks, mentor teammates, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar data engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PySpark and Python.
• Experience using Azure DevOps Git and Azure Pipelines, plus Power BI and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance in-house PySpark-based frameworks.
• Mentor junior team members and the analytics community.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high quality data-driven solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and design end-to-end data engineering solutions.
• Deliver quality solutions with automated tests, documentation, and Azure Pipelines.
