Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on data, finance, automation and AI. You will design and deliver data-driven solutions for interest and fee reconciliation across Banking products, leveraging Generative AI, Copilot, and intelligent automation to modernise operations.

You will work with Finance, Treasury, Product, Technology, Risk and Compliance to drive strategic outcomes, building dashboards and reporting with Power BI/Tableau while ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience in banking/financial services environment.
• Strong data engineering foundation and hands-on coding.
• Experience building AI-enabled data workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions for reconciliation processes.
• Analyse large banking transaction datasets to identify trends and anomalies.
• Investigate reconciliation exceptions and implement sustainable fixes.
