Job summary

HammondCare in Australia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop and optimise its enterprise data platform and integration solutions. The role provides senior technical leadership and mentors the Data Engineering Lead across architecture, standards, and delivery practices.

The position involves working across multiple source systems, cloud platforms and domains to ensure scalable, secure and reliable data solutions aligned with HammondCare's analytics strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
• Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT and integration technologies.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning or advanced analytics platforms.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise data integration solutions across multiple business and clinical systems.

• Lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable data engineering and integration solutions.
• Shape and evolve HammondCare’s data platform, lakehouse and integration ecosystem.
• Define and embed engineering and integration standards, patterns and best practices across APIs, ETL/ELT, event-driven and real-time integration.

• Provide technical oversight through solution, code and data model reviews.

The role provides senior technical leadership across data engineering initiatives and acts as a trusted advisor to the Data Engineering Lead on architecture, engineering standards, platform performance and delivery practices.Working across multiple source systems, cloud platforms and business domains, the Senior Data Engineer ensures that data solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and aligned to HammondCare's data, analytics and AI strategy.
