Job summary

Oracle Australia is seeking a Lead Principal Data Center Facilities Engineer to lead maintenance, reliability, and change management for critical infrastructure across global sites. You will drive standards, governance, and performance in power, cooling, and life-safety systems.

You will act as the SME for complex incidents, coordinate cross-site improvements, and mentor the facilities teams while partnering with design, construction, and operations to ensure uptime and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure
• Ability to define enterprise maintenance standards (preventive & predictive) across electrical, mechanical, liquid-to-chip, and life-safety systems
• Experience coordinating cross-site incident response, governance and change management

Responsibilities

• Critical Environment Maintenance: define and govern enterprise standards for preventive/predictive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, liquid-to-chip, and life-safety systems; ensure consistent execution and documentation across sites.
• Incident Management: lead high-severity incident response across regions; coordinate stabilization, stakeholder communications, and executive updates; ensure durable corrective actions.
• Site Commissioning and Build: oversight for site assessments, design reviews, uptime requirements, commissioning strategy, and integrated tests; validate performance and handover criteria.
• Data Center Operations Management: serve as SME for complex operations of mission-critical systems; leads CAB for change management and upgrades; ensure safe work practices and audit readiness across facilities.
• Engineering Design, Leadership, and Governance: define policies and standards; chair engineering review boards; guide lifetime planning and modernization roadmaps.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: define competency standards and curricula; mentor engineers; publish lessons learned to uplift global operational maturity
