Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead the day‑to‑day construction oversight for critical data center projects. You will manage on‑site teams, coordinate with internal stakeholders and contractors, and drive projects from feasibility through commissioning across Melbourne and other global sites.

The role requires 10+ years in construction or project management, strong leadership, and knowledge of relevant codes.

Qualifications

Experience in construction of data center delivery (design, commissioning and construction), mission critical facilities, or equivalent industrial/manufacturing facility builds.
10+ years of construction or project management experience.
Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Deliver high quality, on time Data Centers for our customers. Lead construction management for new builds or capital projects in Melbourne, owning scope, timeline, and budget.
Drive costs down and shorten schedules while maintaining quality.
Provide construction management for initiatives aimed at increasing data center resiliency and commissioning.
Review constructability of electrical and mechanical systems and building designs.
Coordinate RFI process and construction administration with engineers; report key metrics to the team.
