Job summary

CYOS Solutions is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design, deploy and govern data architectures across complex government IT systems in NSW. You will translate business requirements into secure, integrated ICT solutions and guide architecture delivery with substantial autonomy.

You will lead architecture analysis, drive options and recommendations, and mentor teams while aligning with enterprise standards and risk governance. A strong government experience and Baseline clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale data, integration, solution or enterprise architecture activities.
• Experience providing strategic technical advice and influencing decisions at senior executive levels.
• Industry certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, Azure/AWS solutions architect, SAFe or equivalent.
• Experience in Australian Government or heavily regulated environments.
• Knowledge of data architecture, analytics, AI and cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of data, integration and ICT architectures aligned with business objectives and standards.
• Analyse requirements, identify gaps, assess technologies and develop architecture options.
• Lead architecture analysis, design, integration and migration across complex programs.
• Develop architecture artefacts and technical guidance for governance and delivery.
• Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies in evolving environments.
• Collaborate with business areas, ICT teams, vendors and agencies to influence outcomes.
• Present recommendations and risks to executives and governance bodies.
• Represent the organisation and provide architecture expertise in forums and partnerships.
• Promote innovation, knowledge sharing and capability building through mentorship.
• Develop long-term architecture plans balancing business needs and technology opportunities.
