Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Senior Architect - Data and AI Engineering to lead architecture design and delivery across cloud data platforms. You will work in small teams to translate client needs into scalable data solutions, driving strategy, implementation, and governance.

The role blends hands-on engineering with advisory work, enabling clients to realize bold data-powered outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to pre-sales

Qualifications

Experience designing data architectures for large-scale environments.
Proficiency with cloud data warehouses and data pipelines.
Strong programming skills in Python/Scala/SQL.
Ability to lead architecture discussions with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver innovative data architectures on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Lead sessions to translate business needs into technical designs.
Hands-on delivery of data engineering work and oversight of team delivery.
Collaborate with clients to evolve current environments toward target state.
Explain trade-offs and drive consensus on recommended solutions.
Assist in pre-sales and project scoping with the business team.
