Job summary

Slalom Build in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Architect - Data & AI Engineering to design and deliver modern data platforms across cloud ecosystems. You will lead architecture discussions with clients and teams to craft scalable data solutions and guide the implementation from design to delivery.

You will mentor engineers, enable best practices, and participate in pre-sales activities to shape engagements and outcomes for leading organizations in data and analytics.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in architecture design for data & analytics platforms.
• Deep expertise in one or more data engineering technologies.
• Curious mindset toward client engagements and new data challenges.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver innovative data engineering solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Lead architecture discussions with clients and technical teams to define strategy and implementation.
• Break down tasks, oversee development quality, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Participate in pre-sales activities to help scope and plan projects.
