Job summary

E2 Cyber in Canberra seeks a Senior Security Consultant to join a client’s cyber security team. This hands-on, customer-facing role covers design, implementation and operation of security across endpoint, identity, cloud and monitoring domains, onsite in Canberra.

You will combine technical expertise with consulting skills, lead engagements, mentor junior consultants and work with stakeholders through deployment, testing and operational transition, driving security uplift in a complex enterprise

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cyber security consulting or security engineering services.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft XDR and Azure security technologies.
• Experience with SIEM and SOAR solutions in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience in SOC operations, including incident investigation, response and triage.
• Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management and identity and access management platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure security principles.
• Understanding of networking technologies and security architecture concepts.
• Experience with scripting, automation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support cyber security products and technologies
• Manage and optimise endpoint security and identity and access management solutions
• Implement and operate vulnerability management, SIEM and SOAR platforms
• Support the planning and coordination of technical security implementations
• Engage with stakeholders throughout solution deployment, testing and operational transition activities
• Provide security consulting expertise and technical guidance across multiple projects
• Assist with solution design, technical workshops and pre-sales activities where required
• Contribute to operational security improvement initiatives and best practices
• Mentor and support junior consultants and team members
• Participate in knowledge-sharing, capability uplift and continuous learning activities
