Job summary

FinXL is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Cloud & Infrastructure practice in Sydney, leading a major vulnerability management and cyber resilience engagement for an Enterprise Banking organisation.

You will prioritise vulnerabilities, ensure secure configurations, and drive hardening across enterprise systems, collaborating with Infrastructure and Security teams on a high-impact transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise vulnerability management and reducing cyber risk.
• Hands-on with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of Essential Eight, ASD ISM, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to convey risks to stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or GIAC are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support risk-based vulnerability prioritisation and remediation activities.
• Provide subject matter expertise on secure configuration standards.
• Guide enterprise system hardening practices and compliance uplift.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for standard cyber risk decisions.
• Produce comprehensive reporting metrics on enterprise vulnerability posture.
• Coordinate rapid response to critical vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security Architecture, and Tech teams.

In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with an Enterprise Banking organisation on a high-profile transformation project, and BAU driven engagements.

• Exceptional analytical skills for assessing exploitability and asset criticality.

• Strong communication skills to convey technical risks to business stakeholders.

• Highly regarded: Experience leveraging Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.

• Highly regarded: Professional certifications including CISSP, CISM, CRISC or GIAC.
