Job summary

Talent in Parramatta, NSW, is seeking a Senior Cyber Operations & Engineering Specialist to join a major cyber resilience program. This initial 12-month contract focuses on vulnerability management and micro-segmentation.

You'll work hands-on across Tenable Nessus/WAS, Illumio, and Microsoft Sentinel, building detections with KQL, tuning WAF rules, and automating investigations with Logic Apps. Strong collaboration with internal teams and external security partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in enterprise cyber security engineering or security operations.
• Hands-on with Tenable WAS and Illumio segmentation.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and security analytics.
• Knowledge of hybrid networks, firewalls, and secure architectures.

Responsibilities

• Manage Tenable Nessus/WAS and translate findings into remediation.
• Implement and tune Illumio micro-segmentation and enforce boundaries.
• Develop and tune Microsoft Sentinel detections using KQL.
• Tune Akamai Layer 7 WAF rules and exceptions.
• Build Azure Logic Apps SOAR playbooks for automation.
• Collaborate with SOC/MDR providers to improve detection quality.
