Job summary

Transport For NSW is seeking a data and analytics professional to join the Cyber Insights & Analytics team in Macquarie Park. You will design and support enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines, data marts and semantic models, and develop executive-ready Power BI dashboards to deliver meaningful cyber and operational insights.

The role requires 5+ years in Azure data environments, expertise with Azure Data Factory, T-SQL and dimensional modeling, and strong stakeholder engagement to translate requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, data marts, and data integration solutions with Azure Data Factory and T-SQL.
• Experience creating executive-ready Power BI reports and semantic models using DAX.
• Strong dimensional modeling knowledge (Kimball) with fact and dimension tables.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing data ingestion, transformation and reporting in Azure environments.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices for deployment of data and reporting solutions.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management and Power BI security controls (RLS).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines, data integrations, APIs and ingestion using Azure-based tech.
• Build and maintain data marts, dimensional models and transformation processes for trusted reporting data.
• Develop semantic models and executive-ready Power BI dashboards delivering cyber and operational insights.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and reporting solutions across Azure SQL, Data Factory, DevOps and Power BI.
• Apply CI/CD practices and contribute to governance, metadata management and reporting standards.
• Support uplift of self-service analytics across the Cyber function through delivering trusted reporting products.
