Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners, in collaboration with the Department of Transport and Main Roads North Coast Region, seeks a Senior Cultural Heritage Officer (PO4) to support QTRIP projects across design, construction and maintenance.

You will provide specialist guidance on Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultural heritage matters, lead assessments and reports, build stakeholder relationships, and work across multidisciplinary transport infrastructure teams within Buderim.

Qualifications

• Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or cultural heritage management (or equivalent).
• Experience in cultural heritage management for infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., Australian Archaeological Association or ICOMOS) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide cultural heritage advice and management services across multiple project delivery teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups.
• Advise stakeholders on relevant legislation, policies, procedures and cultural heritage requirements.
• Undertake cultural heritage assessments and prepare reports, management plans and agreements.
• Participate in and manage cultural heritage field work, including surveys, studies, monitoring, project inspections and audits.
