Job summary

Bank Australia is seeking a Credit Supervisor - Business Banking to provide specialist credit expertise for SME and commercial lending. You will assess proposals, exercise lending authority, and guide stakeholders to deliver high-quality lending outcomes.

In this role you will maintain compliance, deepen knowledge of lending risks, coach team members, and contribute to portfolio quality while supporting the bank's purpose and values.

Qualifications

• SME and commercial lending experience and knowledge of lending policies.
• Ability to assess loans within delegated authority and make risk-based decisions.
• Experience in credit risk or credit approval roles.
• Strong commercial acumen and judgement.

Responsibilities

• Assess and approve SME and commercial lending proposals.
• Exercise Delegated Lending Authority with balanced credit decisions.
• Provide specialist credit guidance to Relationship Managers and stakeholders.
• Support lending excellence and contribute to the Business Banking strategy.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
• Develop deep knowledge of SME lending trends and risk practices.
• Coach and upskill Business Banking team members.
• Contribute to audit, quality assurance and portfolio quality.
