Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Officer to join the Independent Risk Management team supporting Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) across Australian commercial clients. You will hold individual credit authority and influence credit decisions that affect a diverse lending portfolio while enabling responsible growth.

In this high-visibility role, you will mentor analysts, collaborate with Relationship Managers and Underwriters, and contribute to portfolio reviews, stress testing, and risk initiatives

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with corporate banking and credit risk management.
• Proven track record as a credit officer with delegated authority.
• Experience in mid-market or large corporate credit analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of loan structuring and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final credit approver for Citi Commercial Bank transactions.
• Assess complex credit proposals including cash flow modelling.
• Monitor portfolio, identify early signs of deterioration, design risk mitigations.
• Ensure compliance with risk policies and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with front-line teams on credit structuring.
• Contribute to portfolio reviews, stress testing, and risk initiatives.
