nbn is seeking a Managing Counsel, Competition and Regulatory to lead the Enterprise Legal team in Melbourne, guiding complex competition and regulatory matters vital to our long-term strategy. You will partner with senior stakeholders to shape decisions and balance regulatory obligations with commercial aims.

You bring deep experience across competition and regulatory fields, lead with collaboration, and mentor a small team through change while ensuring risks are understood and managed.

Qualifications

• Experience across two of: competition law, access regulation, or telecommunications regulation.
• Experience leading a specialist legal team.
• Post-graduate qualifications in competition law and economics or access regulation are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, highly specialised team on competition and regulatory matters essential to operations and strategy.
• Provide trusted, senior legal advice to stakeholders navigating complex regulatory environments and balance obligations with commercial outcomes.
