Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty is seeking a Lead Preconstruction Cost Planner to manage Queensland building projects across healthcare, education, civic and commercial sectors. You will prepare tender quantities, cost plans from drawings, and monitor pricing trends and methods.

You will develop supplier and subcontractor pricing, present escalation and cash-flow assessments, and peer-review estimates for major variations.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary or trade qualification in construction or related field.
• 10 years of construction experience and multidisciplinary estimating capability.
• Advanced financial-management and contemporary estimating-software skills.
• Experience across construct-only, design-and-construct, managing-contract, alliance, joint-venture and PPP delivery models.
• Ability to assess safety, environmental and quality risks and interpret requirements affecting costs.

Responsibilities

• Track pricing, market trends and construction methods and maintain benchmarked work breakdowns.
• Develop supplier and subcontractor pricing and present escalation and cash-flow assessments.
