Job summary

Queensland Government's Queensland Corrective Services Brisbane - West is seeking a Senior Training Officer Custodial Operations to lead the design, delivery and assessment of competency-based training for custodial staff.

You will apply adult learning principles, facilitate engaging sessions for diverse learners, and coordinate scheduling to meet tight deadlines while negotiating priorities and resources.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver and assess staff in entry level training and correctional practices.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and applying them in course design and delivery.
• Ability to engage diverse adult learners and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Negotiation of service delivery priorities, deadlines and resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competency-based training and assess learners.
• Lead Entry Level Training for custodial staff.
• Assess staff in Correctional Practices competencies.
• Apply adult learning principles in course design.
• Facilitate engaging training sessions for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate scheduling and meet tight deadlines.
