Job summary

NEPEAN Power seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer for Thornton, NSW, to lead design, development, testing, commissioning and support of PLC, HMI, SCADA and drive systems across industrial and mining projects.

You will mentor engineers and technicians, manage documentation and ensure safety and quality standards while delivering projects on time and within cost. This is a hands-on senior role with customer interfaces.

Qualifications

• Electrical, automation or control systems background required.
• Experience in industrial automation, commissioning and fault finding.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and variable speed drives.
• Familiar with Rockwell, Citect and ABB environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test and commission PLC, HMI, SCADA, variable speed drive and related control, monitoring and safety systems.
• Support new builds, equipment overhauls, workshop testing and site commissioning for NEPEAN Power products.
• Manage engineering deliverables, project progress, labour allocation and job cost inputs within your scope.
• Prepare, review and maintain engineering design, test and commissioning documentation.
• Mentor engineers, technicians and stakeholders, providing guidance and support.
