Job summary

Embedded Expertise in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join an advanced operations team working on critical water infrastructure. This long-term contract role focuses on automation, SCADA, OT and solving operational problems across networks.

You will design and implement control systems, develop standards and visualisations, identify opportunities to improve SCADA/OT and control logic, and support IIoT use cases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Control Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in control systems and process engineering.
• Proven experience providing technical engineering support.
• Experience automating operational processes through OT systems.
• SCADA, PLC and/or IIoT experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control system and automation solutions.
• Develop standards, work instructions, visualisations and automated processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve SCADA, OT and control logic.
• Support the development of IIoT solutions and use cases.
• Provide technical advice around SCADA and OT alarms and events.
• Solve technical and engineering problems across Operations and Maintenance Planning.
• Drive continual improvement across systems, processes and technology.
• Provide technical coaching and support to engineers and technical officers.
