Job summary

Hydra Search is seeking a Control Systems Engineer for our Perth-based engineering consultancy to design and optimise automation solutions for mining operations. You will work with Rockwell PLCs, SCADA Citect, and integrate Modbus, Ethernet/IP and Profibus networks.

The role requires 5+ years in control systems, strong problem-solving and project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Control, Automation or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in control systems for mining or industrial automation.
• Proficiency with Rockwell PLCs, SCADA Citect, and integration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and optimise control systems for automated mining operations.
• Configure and maintain Rockwell PLCs, SCADA systems and field devices.
• Ensure safe, reliable and efficient system performance through testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage project milestones.
