Job summary

Tss-Group is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join a mining owner/operator in WA on a short-term contract, with potential extension. The role covers design, troubleshooting, commissioning and operational support across two process plants.

You will program Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000, configure Citect/Plant SCADA, read P&IDs and drawings, and assist in commissioning, shutdowns and performance improvements. Travel to site may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in mining, mineral processing, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000.
• Experience supporting Citect SCADA and/or Plant SCADA systems.
• Able to read P&IDs, control schematics and electrical drawings.
• Willingness to travel to site when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000.
• Configure, maintain and support Citect SCADA and Plant SCADA systems.
• Perform instrumentation configuration, calibration and fault finding.
• Support site commissioning activities, shutdowns and improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and networks.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics and I/O drawings.
• Contribute to technical documentation (FDS, Control Narratives, I/O lists).
