Job summary

Fortescue Metals Group is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support contract and procurement activities across our Capital Sustaining Projects Portfolio. You will contribute to tendering for construction works, services, capital equipment and materials, as well as post-award contract administration and close-out.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work with project teams and stakeholders to support project schedules and budgets through effective sourcing and contract

Qualifications

• Experience with tendering, sourcing and contract administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work packages.
• Effective stakeholder engagement with engineering, legal, quality, project controls and logistics teams.
• Professional and respectful approach aligned with Fortescue values.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages for construction, services, capital equipment and materials.
• Conduct sourcing activities in line with project controls and Fortescue policies.
• Negotiate contract terms, conditions and pricing to support project requirements.
• Prepare clear contract and procurement documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through competitive sourcing.
• Provide reports and advice to support procurement decisions.
• Identify contract formation risks with input from technical and legal teams.
• Maintain procurement records and reporting for compliance.
• Administer contracts including notices, payment claims and variations.
• Assess payment claims, variations and extensions of time.
• Collaborate with team to support contract management and project delivery.
