Job summary

Carta Law is seeking a Paralegal to support the Contracts team in APAC, handling investment-related NDAs and related documents with speed and accuracy.

You will work alongside paralegals, lawyers, and AI agents to manage high volume pre-M&A contract work, coordinate client workflows, and ensure tight client turnaround times while maintaining quality and professionalism. Proficiency with AI-backed tools like Ava is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice, or in-house commercial legal team, with exposure to commercial contracts and NDA drafting.
• Thrives in high-volume, deadline-driven environments and can switch contexts without sacrificing quality.
• Strong grasp of legal concepts and commercial pragmatism; knows when to flag issues.
• Written and verbal communication is crisp and concise.
• Owns work, identifies inefficiencies, and improves team processes.
• Familiarity with private markets, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents to ensure rapid turnaround.
• Support UK lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work to manage volume.
• Set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts to execution.
• Deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support reflecting Carta's precision and fast turnaround.
