Job summary

Hindmarsh in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to take a leading commercial role on a major high-rise residential project.

You will lead procurement, subcontractor and head contract management, manage cashflow and variations, and provide commercial guidance to the project team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' proven commercial construction experience.
• Experience on large-scale/high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract admin, variations and claims.
• Familiarity with contract law principles and construction legislation.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring commercial team members.
• Experience using CHEOPS or Aconex.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, including tendering, assessment and negotiation of major subcontract packages
• Managing head contract and subcontract administration throughout project delivery
• Managing progress claims, variations, EOTs and subcontractor claims
• Forecasting and reporting on project financial performance, including cashflow, costs and commercial risk
• Monitoring project costs against budget and identifying risks and opportunities
• Providing commercial advice and guidance to the Project Manager and wider project team
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Leading commercial and variation review processes
• Supporting project close-out, including financial completion and finalisation of subcontract accounts
• Mentoring and supporting Contract Administrators and Cadets within the project team
