Job summary

Design & Build in Brisbane seeks an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final accounts. You will work with senior leadership and site teams to ensure projects are delivered commercially, efficiently and within contract requirements.

You will oversee head contracts, subcontracts, variations, progress claims and cost reporting, while building strong relationships with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contracts administration within a commercial construction environment.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Experience managing projects across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare or high-rise residential sectors.
• Confident managing variations, claims, cost reporting and contractual negotiations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work closely with site and project teams.
• A proactive, commercially minded individual who can take ownership and work autonomously.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial and contractual administration of construction projects from procurement through to completion.
• Prepare, review and negotiate head contracts, subcontract agreements and scopes of work.
• Manage variations, progress claims, extensions of time and subcontractor payments.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and overall commercial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to identify and manage commercial risks.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure contractual obligations are being met.
• Manage final accounts and project close-out documentation.
