Job summary

BMD is seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor to join our commercial team at the Hawthorn head office, supporting projects across Victoria and providing commercial expertise to VIC/SA/TAS. This role involves managing risk and maximizing commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, and collaborating with Pre-Contracts and Bid Teams to secure future work.

• Construction, engineering or infrastructure project experience.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support to project delivery teams across Victoria.
• Assist with subcontract management, variations, claims and contract administration.
• Review contract terms and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Assist the Pre-Contracts and Bid Team during tender and procurement phases.
• Partner with operational teams on contract interpretation and commercial matters.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor to join our commercial team based in our Hawthorn head office, supporting projects across Victoria and providing commercial expertise to the broader VIC/SA/TAS business.

This is a diverse role offering exposure to major infrastructure, water, transport and renewable energy projects to manage risk and maximise commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, while also partnering with our Pre-Contracts and Bid Teams to help secure future work.

About You

We're interested in candidates who bring:

• Experience in a Contracts Advisor, Contract Administrator, Senior Contract Administrator or similar role

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities
