Job summary

BMD in Perth is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to lead the commercial management of the Perth New Runway Project. You will own the full contract lifecycle, oversee procurement, cost forecasting, claims and variations, and protect contractual positions within a high-paced JV environment.

You bring proven experience with Tier 1/2 contractors on major infrastructure schemes, strong knowledge of AS2124/AS4000/GC21, and a tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Contracts Administrator in Tier 1 or major Tier 2 contractors.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (road, rail, water, energy or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (AS2124, AS4000, GC21 or similar) and commercial frameworks.
• Advanced capability across procurement, cost control, forecasting, and contract risk.
• Experience managing claims, variations, and negotiations in complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, law, commerce or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing the head contract and subcontract lifecycle from procurement through to close-out.
• Leading subcontractor procurement, negotiations and award strategies.
• Ensuring accurate cost forecasting, reporting and commercial risk management.
• Driving the administration of claims, variations, EOTs and dispute resolution.
• Maintaining strict compliance with contractual, legal and statutory obligations.
• Providing commercial advice to Project Managers and leadership teams.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
