Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering major energy projects in North Queensland. Based in Townsville, you will provide senior commercial and contractual support across technically complex energy and infrastructure works.

Working with Project Managers, Engineers and senior commercial leadership, you will manage contracts, subcontractors, costs, variations, claims and commercial risk throughout project

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Contract Administrator, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Commercial professional.
• Experience with cost control, forecasting, monthly reporting and cost-to-complete.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction contracts and contract administration.
• Advanced Excel and project management systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage head contract and subcontract commercial administration.
• Prepare, assess and negotiate variations and contractual claims.
• Review progress claims and payment assessments.
• Manage subcontractor claims, variations and commercial correspondence.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and cost-to-complete.
• Prepare monthly commercial and project cost reporting.
• Support subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations and contract awards.
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks and opportunities.
• Maintain variation, claims, procurement and commercial registers.
• Review contracts, drawings, scopes, specifications and technical documentation.
• Prepare and manage contractual notices, EOTs and commercial entitlements.
• Support cash flow forecasting and overall project financial performance.
• Ensure comprehensive commercial records and contractual documentation are maintained.
• Work closely with delivery teams to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
• Provide commercial advice to Project Managers and senior project stakeholders.
