Job summary

Hall Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator for a major marine infrastructure project. The role is office-based at the Portside Hamilton office for the duration of the project, with potential ongoing opportunities with Hall Contracting upon completion.

You will take ownership of the commercial function, manage contracts, claims and project performance, and work with a skilled team across commercial, engineering and delivery on a unique marine project.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contracts Administrator in construction, civil infrastructure, marine, dredging or related engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, commercial management, variations and extensions of time.
• Excellent financial and analytical skills to monitor project costs and forecast performance.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project, including cost control, contractual compliance and risk management.
• Prepare, assess and submit progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration and ongoing commercial performance.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for effective project controls.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to protect project margins.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders on contractual matters and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide commercial advice and support to the project management team throughout delivery.

About You

• Tertiary Qualifications in a related field (i.e. Bachelor of Business Management, Diploma of Construction/Project Management, Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Quantity Surveying)
• Demonstrated experience in a Contracts Administrator role within construction, civil infrastructure, marine, dredging or a related engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial management, variations, progress claims and extensions of time.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to monitor project costs and support forecasting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and take ownership of commercial deliverables.
