Job summary

Housing Australia, Australia’s independent housing delivery agency, is seeking a Reporting to the Director, Construction Risk to provide technical due diligence, risk oversight, and project monitoring across a portfolio of housing and infrastructure developments in Sydney.

In this fixed-term, hybrid role, you will assess pre-funding risk, review contracts, monitor progress, and support informed lending decisions while ensuring governance and value for investment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction risk assessment and due diligence.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and government frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Experience in housing or infrastructure sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction risk and technical due diligence across housing and infrastructure projects, including pre-funding assessments, contract reviews, risk analysis, and mitigation recommendations.
• Monitor project performance, undertake site inspections, assess project risks, prepare drawdown reports, and support portfolio reporting and oversight.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to provide construction, technical, and project delivery advice that supports informed investment and risk management decisions.
• Promote strong risk governance and compliance practices in line with Housing Australia’s lending, risk, and policy frameworks.
