Job summary

McConnell Dowell in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a major civil infrastructure project. This senior role oversees all construction activities, driving safety, quality, schedule and cost while partnering with the project leadership team to deliver outcomes.

You will mentor construction leaders, coordinate resources and subcontractors, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure delivery aligns with program objectives.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant engineering degree or related discipline.
• At least 8+ years in construction with leadership exposure.
• Proven ability to lead diverse construction teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all construction activities to meet safety, quality, program and cost objectives.
• Provide direction, coaching and support to construction leaders to drive accountability and performance.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, resource allocation and site coordination.
• Ensure compliance with engineering, environmental and quality requirements across delivery.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Monitor progress, costs and performance and report findings to stakeholders.
