Job summary

Recruitometry is seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join its Western Australia practice in Perth. The role targets lawyers with at least 4 years of post-admission experience in front-end construction law, major projects, or complex commercial contracting, handling diverse infrastructure matters.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Admission to practice law in Western Australia.
• Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience.
• Experience in front-end construction law, major projects, or complex commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating project agreements, including construction, engineering, consultancy, supply, or maintenance contracts.
• Commercial contracting experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, resources, or major projects encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction, engineering, consultancy, supply, and maintenance agreements.
• Advise on procurement strategies, project delivery, contractual risk allocation, and contract administration.
• Provide practical legal advice on construction and major project matters.
• Support clients throughout the project lifecycle from contract development to implementation.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend strategies to protect client interests.
• Collaborate with developers, government bodies, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Manage matters independently while collaborating with colleagues across construction, commercial law, insurance, and WHS.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and commercially focused advice.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the construction practice.
• Deliver high-quality legal services and commercial outcomes in collaboration with the team.
